"MUTE" module mono or stereo on 1U format

The SIGNAL SWITCH module is a "MUTE" unit offering various routing options (4x mono or 2x stereo).
It utilizes high-quality "vactrols" to prevent annoying clicks when muting or unmuting signals, while also introducing a subtle "fade-out" effect (for this reason, it is best suited for AUDIO signals rather than CV or GATE signals, which require an instantaneous cutoff). Consequently, the muting process is clean and unobtrusive.

Explanation:
Any signal entering an "IN" jack and exiting via an "OUT" jack can be muted by toggling its corresponding switch.

ON = switch in the "up" position; the incoming signal is routed to the output and remains audible, indicated by an illuminated green symbol.
MUTE = switch in the "down" position; the incoming signal is cut off. The use of a vactrol eliminates unpleasant clicks and creates a gentle fade-out (the symbol turns off).

The internal routing (normalization) functions as a passive multiple for input 1:
A signal plugged into input 1 is automatically routed to outputs 2, 3, and 4 (each of which retains its own independent "MUTE" function). Inserting a patch cable into input 2 breaks this internal connection, allowing for flexible configurations tailored to your specific needs.

Additional option:
Two switches allow you to toggle between mono and stereo routing. For example:

When the left side of the module is configured for a stereo signal—by setting the dedicated "mono/stereo" switch to the "stereo" position—input 1 becomes the Left (L) channel, and input 2 becomes the Right (R) channel (the same applies to the outputs; the labels in parentheses are provided for clarity). Input selector 1 controls both channels (the green symbols indicate the status of both channels); selector 2 is inactive in this configuration.
Right side of the module: 2 x mono, or alternatively, stereo (as explained above).
