Bought this when I was scooping up all the filterbanks I could find and afford. Now I have a couple that I use all the time and others that are duplicates. This one duplicates some of the things I can do with my VC Res EQ, so I’m letting it go. But it’s a great module to get lots of good wind-sounding tones from at a good price. Made by an up and coming Chinese boutique builder that makes really cool stuff. Leas than an hour on it - like I said, I bought a lot filterbanks at the same time and some got more immediate love than others. Comes with many of the goodies it originally came with, but not the stickers, which I liked and kept. Plug your audio into one of the two audio inputs and use the Wind knob to select a channel. This will open up one of the ten frequency channels using a method inspired by gentle swaying that a breeze can encourage—that is, not all at once, but more gently. You can patch directly into the channels as well, which removes the channel from the Wind sweep, giving you more control over the sound space. A Random and Reset button with corresponding CV input allows for instantaneous opening of random channels and closing of all channels. Included is a small, 2hp expander that gives you a Lock option, allowing you to lock each channel in open or closed states, allowing high, low, band pass, and band reject filter behavior. A Zone Select option lets you limit the Random selection options to either the top or bottom zones. Ear Modular's Windstring is a straightforward, easy to use filterbank that can breathe new life into your system.”
