This is the MXR M116 Fullbore Metal – a compact, unapologetically aggressive distortion pedal built for tight riffs, heavy rhythm sounds and saturated metal leads. The extensive controls make it much more adjustable than a typical high-gain distortion: Volume and Gain are joined by a three-band EQ with a sweepable mid-frequency control. The Scoop switch instantly adds the familiar deep-low-end and cutting-top-end metal character, while the switchable noise gate keeps high-gain stops and rhythm parts tight. The gate sensitivity can also be adjusted internally.Features:High-gain analog distortionVolume and Gain controlsThree-band EQ with sweepable mid frequencySwitchable Scoop functionBuilt-in switchable noise gateTrue-bypass switchingPowered by a 9V battery or standard 9V power supplyThe pedal is fully functional and shows clear cosmetic signs of use, including scratches, marks and wear on the enclosure and back plate. Nothing that affects its operation – this is a used working pedal rather than a display piece. Please check the photos for the exact cosmetic condition.A straightforward, heavy-duty metal distortion for players who want maximum gain, precise EQ control and a tight built-in gate.
