Overview and HistoryThe original Park Fuzz Sound was a rare 1960s British fuzz pedal produced by Park, an offshoot brand of Marshall started by Jim Marshall. The vintage circuit was based on a Mark III Tone Bender design with unlabeled transistors. EarthQuaker Devices worked with Park to meticulously recreate the sound using hand-selected New Old Stock (NOS) germanium transistors.Key Features and ImprovementsExpanded Range: The reissue offers more than twice the gain range of the vintage original, letting you dial in everything from mild overdrive to thick, sustaining fuzz.Interactive Controls: Features controls for Volume, Fuzz, and a Treble/Bass EQ knob that shapes the frequency response and interacts dynamically with the fuzz setting.Modern Integration: Built with an electronic relay-based true bypass switching system, low current draw (3 mA), and a modern 9V center-negative power supply layout that avoids the polarity quirks of the original.Compact Size: Housed in a pedalboard-friendly blue enclosure measuring 4.75" x 2.5" x 2.25".
