Look up onThe Minivan is built around the legendary PT2399 chip, a digital chip so notoriously lo-fi that it sounds wonderfully analog . This gives the pedal a dark, gritty, and warm character, conjuring the spirit of vintage tape echoes. But this isn't just another PT2399 delay. Dwarfcraft purposefully pushed the chip beyond its "best" range. The Delay knob goes from standard, pristine repeats into super-slow, mangled, and glitchy territory . And when you crank up the Feedback, it will descend into glorious, self-oscillating chaos—exactly the kind of noise machine you'd expect from Dwarfcraft . The Mix knob offers a full range from 100% dry to an echo-rich blend. The real magic of the Minivan Echo lies in the Insert jack on the top of the pedal. This isn't your standard expression pedal input (though it can do that too!). Using a TRS to dual-mono Y-cable, this jack becomes an effects loop for the delay line. This means you can patch other pedals directly into the repeats of the delay!Imagine running a pitch shifter in the loop so each repeat shifts up in pitch, or adding a tremolo to make the echoes pulse. It’s a fantastic way to create otherworldly sounds and is guaranteed to kill an afternoon experimenting.
