Mojo Hand FX Rook Overdrive PedalThe Mojo Hand FX Rook is an extremely versatile boutique overdrive designed to cover everything from clean boost and light breakup to classic overdrive and aggressive, almost distortion-like gain. It’s a highly musical drive pedal that maintains excellent note definition and chord clarity even as the gain is increased. One of the Rook’s standout features is its 2-band Baxandall EQ, with independent Bass and Treble controls that can both cut and boost frequencies. This gives the Rook considerably more tone-shaping flexibility than the typical single-tone-control overdrive. You can dial in a pronounced midrange, scoop the mids, tighten the low end, add top-end presence, or tailor the pedal specifically to your guitar and amplifier. The three-position clipping switch provides three distinctly different responses. The silicon setting delivers classic, harmonically rich overdrive; the LED setting produces a more open, raw and aggressive drive that can approach distortion; and the center position removes the clipping diodes for a louder, cleaner and less compressed sound that works especially well as a tone-shaping boost. With Gain, Bass, Treble, and Volume controls, the Rook can easily move from subtle enhancement to thick lead tones while remaining responsive to your picking dynamics.Highlights:● Boutique analog overdrive● Gain, Bass, Treble, and Volume controls● 2-band Baxandall EQ with boost and cut capability● Three selectable clipping modes● Silicon clipping for classic overdrive● LED clipping for a more aggressive, open drive sound● No-diode mode for cleaner, less-compressed boosting● Excellent note articulation and chord clarity● Works extremely well stacked with other overdrives and fuzz pedals● True bypass● 9V operation● Made in the USAThe Mojo Hand FX Rook is a fantastic choice for players looking for one highly flexible overdrive that can handle clean boosting, classic crunch, thick lead tones, and more aggressive drive sounds. Its powerful EQ and selectable clipping make it particularly easy to match with different guitars, pickups, amps, and pedalboard setups.
