This is not a stock GE-7. The XTS Midrange Graphic Mod was developed with Nashville session guitarist Tom Bukovac to turn the GE-7 into an EQ specifically focused on the frequencies that matter most for electric guitar. Instead of the stock GE-7’s broad frequency spread, XTS changes the EQ centers to concentrate the sliders through the guitar’s critical midrange. That makes it possible to make smaller, more precise cuts and boosts that noticeably change where the guitar sits in a mix without making it sound heavily EQ’d. It can also be used as a highly controllable lead or solo boost, letting you shape the frequencies that help the guitar step forward rather than simply adding a bunch of overall volume. XTS also modifies the circuit to reduce the GE-7’s noise floor, making the pedal better suited for both live and studio use. This one has been used and shows cosmetic wear from normal pedalboard and gigging use.
