This is the Plumes Small Signal Shredder in green, the color EarthQuaker Devices most often puts it in. EQD built it on the familiar tube-like overdrive circuit but swapped the 4558 chip for JFET op-amps, for lower noise and more chime up top, and it turns the 9-volt supply into plus and minus 9 volts inside for more headroom.
Gain sets the drive, Level the volume, and Tone goes from more bass on the left to more treble on the right. The Mode toggle picks the clipping: 1 is a pair of LEDs, the crunchiest; 2 drops the clipping diodes for a clean boost; 3 is asymmetrical silicon diodes, with a looser feel, a warmer low end and lower output. Both jacks and the power jack sit on the knob end. It runs on a 9-volt center-negative supply at 25 mA. The Flexi-Switch is relay true bypass, so it needs power to pass sound: tap it to latch, or hold it down for as long as you want the effect.
