This is the CS-3, the Boss compressor that has been in production since 1986. It's analog, with Level, Tone, Attack and Sustain knobs and a buffered bypass, and it runs on a 9-volt battery or a Boss PSA adapter.
It evens out your volume by pulling loud notes down and bringing quiet ones up, and it gives long sustain without adding distortion. Sustain sets how much it compresses, and turned down it works as a limiter. Attack turned up keeps the pick attack on every note for a snappier sound, and Tone brightens or softens the highs.
Blue. Good condition, shown in the photos. Comes with just the pedal, no box.
Includes: The pedal only, no box
