Look up onThis is the Hoof V2, the fuzz EarthQuaker Devices calls its flagship, built one at a time in Akron, Ohio. It's loosely based on the classic green Russian fuzz circuit, with a hybrid of germanium and silicon transistors, and EQD hand-matches the new old stock germanium ones so one Hoof sounds like the next.
Fuzz runs from a dirty, amp-like overdrive at the low end to full fuzz. Tone goes from bass on the left to treble on the right, and Shift works with it to change the whole frequency response: clockwise scoops the mids, counterclockwise boosts them. EQD uses it for a glassy top end, to cut low-mid mud, or for thick stoner rock sludge, and it works on bass too. Level sets the volume. Both jacks and the power jack sit on the knob end. It runs on a standard 9-volt center-negative supply at 15 mA, and the true bypass switching is by relay, so it needs power to pass sound.
Gold with the black hoof artwork. Excellent condition, shown in the photos. Comes with just the pedal, no box.
Includes: The pedal only, no box
