SUBTLETY IS OVERRATED.Before boutique distortion pedals became the size of a matchbox and cost as much as a vintage guitar, Danelectro gave us this big red beast. The DD-1 Fab Tone is a high-gain distortion pedal from Danelectro's Original Series, launched in the mid-1990s. Its hefty metal enclosure and unmistakable four-knob layout make it a memorable piece of 1990s guitar-effects design. But the Fab Tone isn't just about looks. This pedal delivers thick, aggressive distortion with plenty of saturation, from gritty rock leads to full-on high-gain mayhem. The dedicated Bass and Treble controls let you shape the sound, while the Fab knob takes you deep into distortion territory.Forget subtle overdrive. This is for players who want their riffs to sound bigger, heavier and a little out of control. Why we love itOriginal Series DD-1 Fab Tone designFour controls: Volume, Bass, Treble and FabPowerful, high-gain distortionDedicated bass and treble EQ for shaping your toneHeavy-duty metal enclosureClassic 1990s Danelectro characterA great choice for alternative rock, grunge, hard rock, heavy riffs and anyone who appreciates the wonderfully unconventional side of vintage guitar effects.A big red box.
