I like the Make Noise Echophon the most. The other -phons are a bit too left-field for me. I don't like it when Make Noise makes the controls weird and unintuitive. The Echophon can, apart from echo, also totally change the tonality of the sound, or work as reverb, chorus, etc. It's very dreamy with it's pitch-shifting capabilities.

Make Noise Bruxa has an awesome sound with delay+filter and heavy/distorted resonance. Sounds great in specific cases but maybe slightly a one-trick-pony, meant for grand movements, not for light end-of-chain effects.

Befaco Oneiroi is great too for big cavernous sounds.

I'm currently using the Qu-bit Stardust, you can dial in a very precise delay using the Frippertronics mode and all of the other effects (tape distortion, bit reduction, flutter and wow, low and high pass, reverb). You can choose to apply the effects on the delay or loop, or also on the incoming signals. It works as a v/oct sample player or looper. But my gripe with it is that it's a jack of all trades, master of none. For example it's very difficult to properly sync as a percussive looper. You basically have to set your global bpm to the bpm of the drum loop sample, rather than the other way around. I also feel that it's too expensive for what it is.

My favourite effects are actually the Alpha Omnicron bass distortion pedal and the EHX Oceans 12 pedal that I have in a FX chain with my audio interface.

Hope that gives you some inspiration!
