Keystone Musical Instruments is an American company based in Bensalem, PA, established 2025, run by musicians who build inspiration machines -- the next generation of effects pedals for musicians. We’re a small team of musician-engineers, and we stand behind every pedal we ship.

Frank Zappa called a composer’s job “the decoration of fragments of time,” and that idea sits at the heart of everything we make. (That's all life is -- love x time). Our ideas for pedals are fresh approaches to dynamic effects. They don’t just sit there. They can move, morph and evolve with your playing, from a rotor ramping up to a slice of your last phrase coming back as something new.

Send these pedals your best tone -- they'll make it shine (or glitch, or twist, or phase, or bend, or freeze and reverberate and echo, or spawn arpeggios, or all of them, simultaneously...) in the time domain. They're usually very happy on the left side of your board, after your drives. They love MIDI clock, and they love stereo! Every Keystone pedal is designed to give players more room to explore, with mono/stereo, MIDI in and thru, tap tempo and assignable expression built in, without getting in the way of your immaculate tone.

Like the inspiration behind the instruments Bob Moog built, we believe artists should have dimly lit corners where they can get lost in creative exploration. Keystone's new approach to time-domain stompboxes -- in stereo, with MIDI clock, sharing tempo, with your own programmable expression, giving your tone new sounds belonging to no one else -- are like adding entirely new corners to explore to your rig.

This isn't just new equipment -- it's composed of new ideas. We can't wait to hear what you do with them.
