Sycamore Other/unknown Eurorack

Live reverse reverb

Reverb that arrives before the note. SYCAMORE cuts what you play into windows, turns each one round, runs it through a room whose echoes fall in pitch, and turns it back, so every note swells in out of its own reverb. It's the old studio trick of reversing the tape to record the reverb, done live to whatever you patch in.

WINDOW sets the length, 40 ms to 2.5 s: short, it stutters and grains; long, every swell is a long breath in. FALL drops each echo by up to an octave so the swell climbs into the note from below, and GRIT crushes the tail before the last turn, so the damage runs backwards too. FLIP leaves the windows backwards, and LEARN records a take of up to 16 s and loops it back to front.
