It notices when your patch has stopped changing. Every loop that comes round the same, the light under its name burns a little brighter; after enough of them it fires HEY, and keeps firing until something changes. Patch that into whatever changes things, and the rack never sits on one loop too long. A death's-head hawkmoth has come to the light.
