Voltage-Controlled Function Generator
Glissement is a voltage-controlled function generator designed for precise manipulation of signal transitions, temporal curvature, and dynamic voltage processing. Its architecture combines continuously variable slope generation with independent DC offset control, extending its operation across envelope shaping, slew limiting, oscillation, and signal processing.
The central Definition control continuously transforms the response characteristic between exponential, linear, and logarithmic curves, governing the acceleration and deceleration of rising and falling voltages. This variable curvature provides direct control over the temporal behavior of incoming signals, from conventional portamento and envelope contours to asymmetrical modulation and complex transient shaping.
An independent Polar Shift circuit provides adjustable DC offset, with dedicated inputs and outputs for external signal displacement and voltage processing. Its autonomous architecture also permits internal feedback patching, allowing the offset stage to interact recursively with the function generator and alter its operating characteristics.
Through the interaction of variable slope geometry, voltage control, and feedback, Glissement operates as a versatile function processor capable of generating complex envelopes, precision slew limiting, voltage-controlled oscillation, and threshold-dependent modulation.
