Dual VCA (2VCA)
The Dual VCA provides two clean, low-noise voltage controlled amplifiers designed for use throughout a system where compact, utility-style VCA functions are needed. Unlike output-mixing VCAs, these are ideal for patch-level control and internal routing. Each VCA has an exponential (audio taper) response with a sensitivity of 12 dB per volt across the usable range. When control voltages drop below about 0.5V, the output quickly falls off to full attenuation, making it well suited for typical envelope control while maintaining extremely quiet operation. The design offers excellent CV rejection, a smooth exponential curve, and a maximum gain of 2 without risk of distortion or overload.
